Wake Me Up When September Ends
today was tiring. what fun. man i have a ton of homework. i'm really proud of myself though. i really did try to make my mom's birthday enjoyable. after school i picked up dinner at Sonny's, went to get her silicon pot holders at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and i even stopped at the grocery to get a card and a balloon. i'm a good kid. i also stayed up late last night decorating with banners and other craziness and i put post-it notes all over her stuff that said nice things on them. oh how i love my mom. she does everything for me. i should do more for her.well now that that's over, i can move on to other exciting happenings. and the happenings for today are..... hmm.... uhh.... yeah, there was nothing exciting. oh yes there was! hold on a second! a special ed teacher yelled at this one boy for cutting me in the pizza line at lunch! i'm so thrilled! yay! the pathetic force of the lunch duty teachers is rising up and taking action. Unfortunately the next action this guy took was ignored and laughed at. but at least one person moved. so there! i have progress in my cafeteria issue campaign.
speaking of campaigns, you gotta love the presidential debate! i only saw part of it, but they use so much repetition, a dodo could see their agendas! my favorite quote is... (note: it's not word for word, it's what i recall)
Bush: "The most inconsistent thing about my opponent is... uhh... that he is inconsistent."
wow. September is over. how ironic is it that my song of the day is "Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends"? ok so here's the sappy lyrics:
"Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
wake me up when September ends
like my fathers come to pass
seven years has gone so fast
wake me up when September ends
here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are
as my memory rests
but never forgets what I lost
wake me up when September ends
summer has come and passed
the innocent can never last
wake me up when September ends
ring out the bells again
like we did when spring began
wake me up when September ends
here comes the rain again
falling from the stars
drenched in my pain again
becoming who we are"
i don't exactly want to be waken up now though. it's time for me to actually go to sleep before that can happen.
