Scapegoat of my Depression: Jeanne and Gates

Jeanne made us skip two days of school! yay! this time we didn't get much damage. just an entire day of no power. i missed my a/c. too bad we have school tomorrow.

monday was really productive for me. i went out by myself to have some fun. cough. unfortunately, Book Swap wasn't open, so i had some fun at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. i got my mom a birthday present and got stuff for the band auction. then i met my mom and we had lunch at CiCi's. yummy. after that i went to the car wash behind Gaither. that was a lot of hard work. oh how i wish i could go through the automatic car wash. ever since the top twirl thing went through the windshield of my grandpa's truck, i'm not allowed to take the convertible through one. paranoia. gotta love it.

anyways after my afternoon outing, i came home to my lovely WinXP machine and alas, it screwed me over! ahhhh! i'm so pissed off. neutrally of course. silently in a way. it's a long story. but seeing as you are actually reading this, you obviously have time to spare to hear my dark and sinister tale.

i pressed the power button. sat around. then i clicked my account to log on. it logs me on. goes to my desktop picture. logs me right back off. it's an annoying and vicious cycle. i tried everything i could think of. i asked Dustin. finally agreed that something was corrupted and the whole OS needed to be reinstalled. that took a while. first i had to actually find the cd.

well i over wrote my old accounts and i feared losing everything. i still have all my files. the bad part: none of the major applications work because they had stuff in the registry, which was deleted. so i'm really busy rebuilding only a few months worth of crap. the thing is... this so called crap.. i love it... i fear it's destruction... it is my life... it is pathetic. i built this computer last winter holiday, so i've only had it for almost 10 months now. it's amazing how far i've come.

well i've finished installing all my drivers and moving my files around. it was a really pain in the booty to set up my wireless card. the durned thing gave me so much trouble the first go round! i could barely take it this time! but i prevailed and am now able to communicate with you. obviously.

i've learned my lesson. don't delete your installers or misplace those cds. life really sucks. how am i to draw a breath without my beloved photoshop? no flash = starving. i'm in such disaray. i even had to download AIM again. gee whiz. well at least i will be more organized this go round. more paranoid too.

tomorrow at school sure should be fun.

Dear Lord, please don't let Pifer sub in Stats. And don't let me sleep in English anymore. Amen. P.S. Thanks for having Dell allow us to do concert stuff tomorrow. P.P.S. Send more hurricanes during band practice.
