Mad Sheddar Skillz
I finally found a paying job! I'm now at an accounting firm where I get to sit and play around with numbers of all the money everyone else in the world is rolling in. Today was my second day and I must say... it is exactly like doing a stat project for 8 hours a day except with minimum wage and a half hour lunch break. Well at least I was good at statistics and somewhat enjoyed it. There are soo many freaking numbers! AHH! Yes I know... there are only ten numbers.
My darling sister on the other hand is being employed for only a week and a half so she gets a very special job. She is the "Mad Shedder". No not the guy from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That would be Sheddar, I think. I can tell she loves it already! Don't you Murphy? How many boxes have you shedded? In two days, she's almost filled up a whole dumpster. Amazing. Simply amazing.
Recent events include skipping my grandmother's 80th birthday party in favor for a dinner and movie at the mall with Dreamy and her crew. T'was worth it. And also my new obsession with creating iron on t-shirts. Haven't quite decided on what image I want. So many choices... Alf, Beatles, Napoleon Dynamite, Smurfs, Superman, Gumby, Ghostbusters, Pink Panther, etc... Any other suggestions from the (pea)nut gallery?
Just Your Average Wednesday
Well it's Wednesday and this picture pretty much sums up today for me.
"You know, I've had days when it's been tough to get over the hump, too.
Happy Hump Day."
I love the 00's!
So as you can see I've made like a-finity new additions to my blog. I think it's more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. (Comments appreciated. *wink*)
So today was delovely. I finally got out of the house. Had some brunch, visited the g-ma and g-pa, went to Target, and then to the church dinner. Bought me some jeans and a super sweet corduroy purse that I might use to carry my laptop in. So enough of the boring rambling lets get to the good stuff.
Today's topic: Music! I'm a on downloading rampage at the moment. I've got Jimmy Eat World rares, demos, and acoustics and I'm getting an old Something Corporate CD. But the real confession is that I've found a new addiction which you probably won't think normal for me unless you really know me: MOTOWN! Yes it's true. Smokey Robinson, the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, the Temptations... My aunt told me to get my own memories! Yeah ok. Maybe I should stick to my 00's rock. Wow that looks strange. Should I say 2000's rock? What decade is this anyways? I grew up in the early 00's!
I've been looking at other people's random blogs by clicking the next button at the top and I must say I like mine. Some people really don't have much to write about. But I guess that's the case with my blog as well. And then I look at the online journal's of my friends and I think hmmm. And that's all I think. I'm thinking about making a list of links on the side for all my misguided livejournal and xanga friends.
Just downloaded some J-Lo and Fall Out Boy. Anyone got any good suggestions? I'm thinking my next craze will be Latino. I loved the songs on "Dancing with the Stars"! By the way, I totally called Kelly and Alec winning it! Yayness. At first I thought, "OMG, another frickin reality show! I flippin hate those! Dancing? That sounds totally lame!" But it turned out to be pretty cute and definitely worked well in expanding the fifteen minutes of fame for those quickly fading celebrities. Oh man, don't get me started on reality TV. I'll save that for another post...
You Got Skip'd
This just in: I wanna transfer to UCF! Some professor over there is on a field trip to Africa where $600,000 of taxpayer's money is going towards a study about the sex lives of the African ground squirrel. Personally, I support the fundings of such studies. Not that I think it will help advance science, but rather that I would rather see students getting an experience of a life time in the wild African safaris than see the forests and pastures and swamps of my own town be destroyed for more buildings and roads.

In other news, Mere said she read about some guy dying from snoring in the bathroom book. I wonder how rare it is to die from sunburn. I am in so much pain right now. But in the end jet skiing was so worth it. My sunburn is totally in the shape of my life jacket.
On Sunday at the party I found a new addiction even better than Skipbo... Phase 10! Just like Uno it contains the almighty skip card! Sweet! I need to go buy that game pronto.
Happy Birthday America!
Yay for holidays! Well pretty much everyday is a holiday for me now. Bekah and Allyson spent the night. El parade was alright. I got to see Stephanie Kaufman and Jessica Sweeney! Jet skiing was a blast but I got so fried. I have a splitting headache right now. Perhaps I'll go to bed early. My mom and I went to Temple Terrace to watch fireworks and thankfully I don't hear any now so perhaps I will get some sleep.
So has anyone noticed yet? I got a new layout... dot dot dot. I'm too lazy to make my own. The problem is that I want to use all the cool blogger tags and there's just way too many to remember them all. I could modify the image tags and use my own but then it's still not original. I guess later when I don't feel like being bored I might try it.
Dear God, why did I ever start facebooking? I need to join a FBA... Anyone know of any local chapers?
Woo! It's Summer!!!
Ok so it's probably true... I've abandoned my loyal readers. Have no fear though. I am back for good. Or not. I, Marcy, do solemnly swear to protect my biggest fans from their ruin of their blogging lives - no Marcy. In laymans' terms that's I'm going to attempt to blog more often. Well mostly it's because I'm bored because it's summer and I have nothing better to do except clean my room (like that's gonna happen...)...
So let's see here. I'm now an unemployed high school graduate who can't vote. Or rather is too lazy to register. Or maybe it's more like I haven't decided on a party affiliation yet and I must decide because the primaries are the only cool part about voting. You probably go to vote for your local administration and see names and be like - who are these people I'm voting for? Barbara Walters never dished any dirt on this guy. So yeah I'd like to at least see a picture of who I'm voting for. Although a JibJab movie would also help to sway my vote/entertain me. So why am I talking politics? I have no clue. My eleventh grade English teacher seemed to think I was into politics but really I'm not. Sometimes I wish maybe I was. But then again I like the blissful ignorance of a teenager/irresponsible adult.
So what have I been doing for a month? Montreat for one week in NC. It rocked. Andrew and I performed again in the Luck of the Draw Talent Show where we played Shimmer by Fuel and concluded with a special rendition of the Numa Numa Dance which we were all addicted to. After Montreat I came home for a week before our family vacation back up to NC. Highlights up there included the Biltmore, visiting my 3 week old cousin's baby Terry, and a white water rafting trip where my mother conveniently fell out of the raft right before the 7 foot, class IV waterfall... Good times.
Once again I volunteer once a week at Shriners Hospital for Children. This year is going better than last. Just like my first year I get to hang out with the in-patients. Every time I go, I'm just so blown away by the spirit and strength in these kids. It's amazing and I hope I can still continue to work there.
Today I went to Mary and Bruce's party. Tons of fun and sunburn. Tomorrow should be just as cool if not better. Lutz parade, BBQ chicken, and then jet skiing! Sweetness.
Other than that I just sit at home and mess around on my super cool TabletPC. My new
facebook addiction is a tough one to kick. AIM doesn't seem to want to work on my computer anymore. It's strange. I keep un and re installing. Over and over. I've tried everything. I give up. You people should probably just resort back to that old forgotten technology called email if you wanna contact me. I wonder what my password is for that... *goes off to try to check email*
